7th ERCOFTAC/IAHR Workshop
on Refined
Turbulence Modelling
May 28/29th 1998
UMIST, Manchester, UK
The 7th Turbulence Modelling SIG Workshop was held in Manchester on Thursday/Friday May
28th and 29th 1998 at UMIST.
Details of the test cases which were considered, and crossplots of the contributed
computational results, can be obtained from the links below.
Workshop Test Cases
- Case 7.1: Fully developed flow in a plane channel in
orthogonal mode rotation with rotation numbers up to 0.5
Crossplots for case 7.1
- Case 7.2: Two-dimensional flow and heat transfer over
a smooth wall "roughened" with square sectioned ribs"
Crossplots for case 7.2
- Case 7.3: Fully developed flow and heat transfer in
an orthogonally rotating square sectioned rib-roughened duct (A 3-D case, although the
flow is periodic and the geometry relatively simple).
Crossplots for case 7.3
- Case 6.2: Fully developed flow and heat transfer in a
matrix of surface mounted cubes (Another 3-D case, although the flow is periodic and flow
boundaries conform with a Cartesian grid).
Crossplots for case 6.2
- Case 5.3: Natural convection in an infinite cavity
formed by a heated and cooled wall.
Crossplots for case 5.3
